"The marsh, to him who enters it in a receptive mood, holds, besides mosquitoes and stagnation, melody, the mystery of unknown waters, and the sweetness of Nature undisturbed by man."

~ Charles William Beebe (1877-1962),
Log of the Sun, 1906

The Tiverton Land Trust works cooperatively and closely with landowners, other conservation groups, government agencies, and granting foundations in order to reach our goals of preserving and protecting open space.

Our past and current partnerships include the following:

In partnership with the Tiverton Open Space Commission and The Nature Conservancy, the Tiverton Land Trust completed in 2016 a 15-year preservation project, the Pocasset Ridge Conservation Area. These 500 acres of contiguous, coastal oak-holly forest will safeguard important wildlife habitat, while providing spectacular walking and hiking areas for all.
