Family Walks on Pardon Gray Trails

The Tiverton Land Trust is planning two family walks at Pardon Gray Preserve on Saturday, October 18th. The first walk, beginning at 9:30 a.m., is for families with children under the age of five.

TLT Nature Hike and Story Event, Saturday, May 24th

Families met at Pardon Gray Preserve at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 24th for a nature hike and story event. Making frequent stops along the trail, they read Caldecott winning artist Chris Van Allsburg’s “Just A Dream”, featuring Walter, who, when it comes to the environment, is not an enlightened individual.

LiDAR Technology and the History of the Landscape in Southern New England

Katharine Johnson, a Ph.D. archeology student, presented her research that uses a remote sensing technology called Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) to understand the history of New England’s landscape. Sakonnet Preservation Association (SPA), in collaboration with the Tiverton Land Trust, hosted the event at the Little Compton Community Center.
